Those of you who frequent our site are, of course, familiar with the work of Violet Blue. She has raised the bar on the sex business, and brought the level of discourse up to that of McLaughlin group, or Wall Street Week. Ms. Blue is omnipresent on the web. You can find her almost anywhere you surf. Well, now she has been elevated to a Sage of the Printed Page. Back in Summer 2006, Violet Blue achieved the dream of many a sex writer, and earned her own column at the prestigious San Francisco Chronicle. Following in the footsteps of such luminaries as Hunter S. Thompson, Ms. Blue boldly goes into the mainstream. This reporter says, “It’s about time”. Taboos are (for the most part) ridiculous and harmful. Sexual taboos even more so, because pleasure and fulfillment are inalienable rights, and goddamn it, it’s the 21st Century. Society needn’t worry itself about what my wee wee likes. So, kudos to Violet Blue, and all those like her, who are the vanguard of the new sexuality.
