You Ain’t Nothin’ But a Bound Dog
While the end of his life was a rather inglorious concoction of prescription drugs, poor diet, weight problems, and depression, Elvis Pressley is still remembered as perhaps the greatest original entertainer of the last 50 years. His premature death at age 42 came as a shock to fans despite his obviously deteriorating mental and physical states. Could it be, though, that all his troubles were simply an extension of his masochistic desires manifesting themselves in the form of excess food and drugs?
 In this pic from one of his films (anyone know which one?) Elvis is seen grimacing in apparent pain while tied to an overhead beam. It seems he may have had masochistic tendencies even during the heyday of his career.
